Who can ever forget High School Musical? The Disney phenomenon gave us so much — it defined a generation of youths in the mid-2000s, catchy tunes we’re all still singing well into our twenties, and Zac Efron. Raise your hand if you were a Zanessa fan!
And three films after, with a fourth High School Musical installment (with a brand new cast) in the works, we’ve gotten all but one thing: a Sharpay-Gabriella duet. The two rivaled over the attention of one Troy Bolton, the lead in the school musical, and the adoration of their friends, but why were they never given a musical showdown to truly show off their talents?
Yet if it’s any consolation, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale never forgot about us grown-up fans and brought a pretty awesome duet as they covered Ex’s & Oh’s by Elle King.
