UPLB’s PAN-AO continues to uphold academic excellence through PANtutorials and PANtanungan 2025.

The Philippine Association of Nutrition – Alpha Omega Chapter (PAN-AO), the only Nutrition organization at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, continues to strengthen its commitment to one of its three foundational pillars—academic excellence—through its annual event, PANtutorials and PANtanungan 2025.

PANtutorials is a yearly initiative since 2020 that aims to provide a platform for learning, collaboration, and academic support among BS Nutrition students. This year’s event will be held on November 18, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, featuring a series of tutorial sessions for specific Nutrition courses led by esteemed speakers who are all Registered Nutritionist-Dietitians.

Moreover, PANtanungan is an engaging and interactive quiz contest that is held to give BS Nutrition students an opportunity to apply concepts learned in lectures and laboratory sessions, especially in PANtutorials sessions. This 2025–2026 academic year’s event will be held on November 20, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the University of the Philippines Los Baños College of Human Ecology’s Multipurpose Hall (CHE-MPH). Beyond serving as preparation for examinations, this activity aims to nurture a deeper interest and understanding of nutrition.

As part of PAN-AO’s continuous effort to foster excellence within the field of Nutrition, PANtutorials serves as an avenue for students to deepen their understanding of complex topics and to prepare for the rigorous academic standards of the discipline. By inviting professional RNDs to share their expertise, the organization bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and its real-world applications in clinical, community, and food service nutrition.

For years, the Philippine Association of Nutrition – Alpha Omega Chapter has stood as a home for aspiring nutritionists in UPLB, providing not only academic enrichment but also leadership and service opportunities aligned with its three core pillars—academic excellence, member development, and community service. Both events specifically embody the academic excellence pillar, ensuring that members and fellow Nutrition students are well-equipped to excel in their studies and future careers.

Beyond its educational purpose, PANtutorials and PANtanungan also foster camaraderie and mentorship among students and professionals. The event encourages active learning through interaction, discussion, and the sharing of insights, allowing participants to gain practical knowledge and inspiration from seasoned experts in the field.

PANtutorials and PANtanungan 2025 stand as a testament to PAN-AO’s enduring mission to empower Nutrition students with knowledge and integrity, continuing its legacy of academic excellence in service of the Filipino people.

Through this initiative, PAN-AO reaffirms its role as a leading student organization dedicated to the advancement of Nutrition education at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. By continuously organizing academically enriching activities such as PANtutorials and PANtanungan, the organization not only upholds its tradition of excellence but also contributes to shaping future Nutrition professionals who are competent, compassionate, and community-oriented.
