It is a narrative that chronicles Eugene’s own struggles and searches for self-acceptance, highlighting facets such as a conservative environment and the reality of hate crime. This tribute for the LGBTQIA+ community also featuredย RuPaulโs Drag Raceย queens Kim Chi and Mayhem Miller.

Eugene announced on his Twitterย account: “I created this music video as my personal way of coming out as a proud gay man who has many unheard, specific stories to tell. I withheld because of fear and shame shaped by my background but I promise to give my full truth in the rest of my life’s work.”
