As a big EDM fan, I’ve always dreamt of going to the Ultra Music Festival. I have listened to all of Hardwell’s UMF sets and I have seen most of the top DJ’s UMF performances on YouTube. It is arguably the biggest festival in the world and I know I’m not the only one who is excited that it’s finally making its way toour country. Although I think I can name more than 5, here are the main reasons why you wouldn’t want to miss the biggest music festival of the year.
Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Go to Road to Ultra Philippines
5. The Amazing Lineup
Road to Ultra Philippines will be bringing in 7 international DJs, and they’re not just your average kind of DJs, either. You may not know it, but we have been listening and dancing to their tracks already. On September 26, you will enjoy a night filled with quality music from Mija, A-Trak, Zeads Dead, Vicetone, Fedde le Grand, W & W and Skrillex. Some of your favorite local DJs will be playing at the event, as well. It’s a worthy lineup that you won’t get from other music festivals in the Philippines.

If you’ve seen pictures and videos of Ultra Music Festival in other countries, then I guess you would already have an idea of how it will look like at Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, but still, it’s something that YOU SHOULD REALLY SEE AND EXPERIENCE FOR YOURSELF. From the lights, pyrotechnics, visuals and other effects, no amount of words and high resolution footages can describe how grand it will be.
3. It’s in Manila.
In order to get to the Ultra Music Festival, you will have to apply for a visa first (if necessary), book flights and arrange your accommodation. Now, we are fortunate enough to have a festival held in our country. Imagine the time and money you will save because all you have to do now is buy a ticket or book a table with your friends.
Skrillex alone is a good enough reason why you should be at this year’s event. For the first time ever, this Grammy award winner and Top 9 of DJ Mag’s top 100 will be hitting the decks in the Philippines. He popularized dubstep music by mixing several EDM tracks and making it more energetic than the old school dubstep. Known for his hits like “Bangarang” and “Where are Ü now”, there’s a reason why Skrillex is a big name in the music industry and we’ll finally know why when we witness him play for us live.
1. The People. The Vibe. The Experience.
I think it’s one of the best feelings in the world when you’re having fun along with thousands of other people. It’s like you’re all magically bonded by this one event in one night. Seeing different faces from all walks of life, jumping and raising your hands up with the crowd. I hate to sound like a cliche, but it’s definitely an experience that you will never forget.
