International theater sensation and Grammy-nominated artist Christine Allado, best known for her breakout role in Hamilton’s original West End cast as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds, returns to Manila to take on another iconic role—Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard: The Musical.
Having performed alongside Andrea Bocelli to sold-out arenas across Europe and Asia, and starred in The Prince of Egypt and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In The Heights, Christine now brings her world-class talent to the Proscenium Theater in Rockwell’s first-ever theatrical production with 9 Works Theatrical.
The Bodyguard: The Musical is inspired by the 1992 cinematic phenomenon starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. It tells the story of global superstar Rachel Marron and the former Secret Service agent assigned to protect her. As danger draws near, so too does an unexpected love, set to a soundtrack that defined a generation.
The Bodyguard: The Musical contains the iconic hits that made the film unforgettable, including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” “Run to You,” and more. This musical was a hit on London’s West End and was staged in over 15 countries worldwide.
Filipino talent on the global stage

Allado carved out a remarkable path as a Filipino talent who has conquered the world’s most prestigious stages. Beyond Hamilton, she has starred as Julie Jordan in Carousel, performed in We Will Rock You, and co-starred with Lea Salonga and Bernadette Peters for the original West End run of Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends at the Gielgud Theater. Allado has further appeared in major productions at the Royal Albert Hall, on Netflix, and the BBC. This year, she is also set to lead the West End premiere of Jo: Little Women The Musical.
