These contactless alcohol dispensers are helping stop the spread of COVID-19

The goal of Sanitize to Stop the Spread (SSS) project (and their main organizer Rotaract Lakeshore Rizal) is to help prevent the spread of the virus in schools through alcohol sanitizing, as handwashing facilities may be limited on school grounds. As COVID-19 can be easily transmitted from person to person through droplets, contact, and fomites, having contactless alcohol dispensers placed in the entrances of the schools can definitely help in putting a stop to the spread of the virus.

SSS project will add to the readiness of not only the school facilities but also the learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and the community in fighting COVID-19. In line with this, SSS project will also promote awareness and precautionary measure infographics on different social media platforms. This project will help to slow the spread of the virus since there are schools that are looking into modular learning which still requires the students to be physically present.

Different public schools are the chosen beneficiaries for SSS Project, as they aim to distribute the Foot Pedal Alcohol Dispensers before the formal school opening of the school year 2020-2021 set on August 24. Their target is to reach as many schools that they can before the said school opening of SY 2020-2021. The donation drive will run from June 25, 2020 – August 15, 2020. The first turnover happened last July 22, 2020, and second turnover is set on August 22.

As of now, they would like to invite more organizations/individuals to be their partners in this undertaking. That help would be highly appreciated not just by them but also by the beneficiaries of this project.

The SSS Project is composed of voluntary young adults (Gen Z and Millennials) from different Rotaract clubs, having the same vision of developing a progressive community through a framework of friendship and service.

Let’s help them stop the spread of the virus. Visit their page to donate: facebook.com/SSSProject2020
