There’s a new food spot in town that could easily be your barkada‘s next go-to hang out place. Just opened this year, Cave Tomas Morato offers amazing steaks, wine, and other delicious eats!
The interior of this new restaurant-slash-bar is actually designed to make it look like you’re eating comfortably inside an actual cave. But the dishes that they offer are far from a caveman’s meal–they’re fit for a king!
Many think that the place is solely a bar for after-hours drinking, but it actually offers amazing meals that are perfect for any time of the day!
Tomahawk Steak
Their specialties are the steaks that are more than enough to satisfy any hungry stomach. The Tomahawk Steak is as long as my forearm! Definitely more than enough to share with your barkada.

But if you’re not much of a sharer, you can also get the (slightly) smaller meal version of the steak which you can get with either rice or mashed potatoes.
Osso buco with Mornay Rice in Red Wine Sauce // PHP 490
As for the mains, their Osso buco with Mornay Rice in Red Wine Sauce is a must-try. The meat is tender and oozing with flavor. I couldn’t get enough of it!
Oil and Garlic with Sausage Pasta // PHP 250
If you’re not much into huge meat meals, you have to try out their pasta. Their Seafood Pasta is light and creamy and is mixed with delicious shrimp and squid. The Oil and Garlic with Seafood Pasta, and Oil and Garlic with Sausage Pasta are also must-tries. I’ve never enjoyed pasta with oil this much before! It’s a lot tastier than I had expected. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
They also offer amazing pizzas that are perfect to pair with their wide variety of wines. (They also have an unli-wine promo starting at PHP 499!) Try their Margherita Pizza and Summer Pizza!

There’s also something for those who are into a healthier lifestyle. They have salads and soups that are all very tasty, you’d enjoy them just as much as you’d enjoy their steaks.

As for new dishes to try, their Salmon Cave is definitely at the top of the list. It’s essentially crab meat covered with slabs of salmon. This is definitely a must-try for seafood lovers.
And what’s a good meal without a dessert? Their Choco Mousse, Black Sambo, and Mango Panna Cotta are must-tries. They were all so good, I couldn’t stop myself from digging with my spoon even after I had declared that I was full.
There’s definitely something for everyone in your circle of friends. If you’re up for a bit of drinking, just walk up the stairs and enjoy their wide variety of booze along with some good music.
