Facilities. The infinity pool is the highlight of the resort, but is only available for in-house guests to enjoy. There is also a gaming area where you can play table tennis, billiards, foosball, darts, etc. If you feel like dancing, singing or even playing XBOX 360, they also have a really cool karaoke room, complete with dancing lights, smoking machine and even a lighted dance floor. This is especially nice after parties 🙂 But wait, it’s not all activities. If you just want to relax and be rejuvenated, The Peacock Garden has the most amazing spa with a scented jacuzzi that feels like you’re in Europe having a grand royal bath.

Enjoy wine and cheese pairing at the wine cellar, which is also available for business meetings or parties.

Mr. Schoof’s 1825 port wine and other treasured wine collections like his oldest cognac dated 1947 (same year he was born) are kept in temperature controlled storage.

 

 

Hemingway cigar lounge. Around the walls are pictures of famous cigar lovers; and, on one corner, are framed pictures of the nine girlfriends of Dr. Jose Rizal. The room is named after the great poet Ernest Hemingway because he is also a well-known cigar lover. This is the most beautiful indoor smoking room I’ve ever been to (not that I like smoking), but because it is just so beautiful, especially with the antique sofas and chairs, adorned with historical collections such as Mr. Schoof’s port wine glass collection (the very same glass owned and used by the last King of Spain), which he uses from time to time whenever he wants to drink his 1825 port wine while he smokes his favorite cigar. If you fancy smoking one, The Peacock Garden is also selling cigars, which are carefully kept behind humidors (temperature controlled cigar cabinet.)

ALL IN ALL, I highly recommend The Peacock Garden Boutique Hotel and Spa as a top relaxing destination here in the Philippines. “With its tranquil and scenic setting, The Peacock Garden is the ideal hideaway for a romantic holiday, wedding weekend, family vacation, business seminar, or special event.”

 

I personally feel that this is perfect for a destination wedding – as you hold the ceremony on a hilltop, your eyes will be delighted with the breathtaking views from the infinity pool overlooking the Bohol Sea and panoramic views of the horizon. The place is just so luxurious, romantic and peaceful.  With an 11-hectare land and only 33 rooms available for guests to enjoy, it only means that there is gonna be MORE to look forward to in the coming years. Who knows?! There might even be a whole new world waiting out there.
