The New York Public Library’s online app is a cave of wonders for all the bookworms out there. With over 300,000 e-books in their collection, it’s basically Belle’s library — but in real life.
And because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the NYPL has made its entire collection available to the public for free!

The app called “SimplyE” lets anyone with a library card and an android or iOS phone ‘borrow’ any of their 300,000 books. All you have to do is download the free e-reader app and make your choice!
However, there is a borrower limit of up to three books considering the volume of users now taking advantage of their downtime at home. You should also expect a waiting list for the more popular offers, like Game of Thrones or Harry Potter.
The library also has a searchable collection of 800,000 digitized items, including historic prints, photographs, maps, and manuscripts.
