We may have already had some information on this Star Wars spin-off from the last Star Wars celebration but its trailer is the first time we really get a feel for it.
And while The Mandalorian definitely accomplishes the tone of the Star Wars universe, it also goes beyond that to uncharted territories.
Opening with dark and ominous shots, it establishes that we’re in for a bounty hunter adventure the likes of which we’ve never experienced before. Of course there are the Star Wars staples: spaceship battles, combative droids, and adventures spanning galaxies. But, as executive producer Jon Favreau says, it dips into a “darker, freakier side of Star Wars.”

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as a new character inspired by Boba and Jango Fett. It takes place in between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and the rise of the First Order. It premieres on Disney+ this November 12.
