Following confirmation of its development in 2024—nearly two decades after the original film’s release—the highly anticipated sequel now finally has an official release date slated for May 1, 2026.
While previous reports have speculated on the return of Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, no cast members—including original stars Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Simon Baker—have been confirmed for the sequel as of this writing.
“The Devil Wears Prada” was based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger. It follows Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), a young journalist who lands a job as the assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the editor-in-chief of a top fashion magazine.
