Flying. It’s more fun in the Philippines
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Once again, the skies of Pampanga will be filled with hot air balloons of all shapes and sizes as the 18TH Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF) slated for February 21 to 24, 2013, gets underway for another “Weekend of Everything that Flies.”
This year’s fiesta will be held at the OMNI Aviation Complex at the Clark Freeport Zone. This annual event, started in 1994, makes it a point to have something new each year. For 2013, the PIHABF along with partners Clark Development Corporation, (CDC), Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) and Department of Tourism (DOT) will present another first in Philippine aviation as the fiesta brings the world-famous Breitling Jet Team to perform their precision aerobatic show to the Philippine audience for the first time.
The Fiesta will also feature 31 balloons from 15 countries with six specially shaped balloons such as Humpty Dumpty, Space Shuttle and Tulip, among others. The fiesta will also feature aviation school displays, food booths, a fly market, the hot air balloon night glow, Original Pilipino Music (OPM) Concerts and radio control Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) night flyers. {End}
