In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she revealed that much of her imagination was spent on the show ever since she started watching it in 2016.

“These songs were half based on what I was going through, but seeing them through a Game of Thrones filter,” the singer said. “‘Look What You Made Me Do’ is literally Arya Stark’s kill list. ‘King of My Heart’ was influenced by Khal Drogo and Daenerys. It’s even got this post-hook of drums — I wanted them to sound like Dothraki drums.”

Meanwhile, she wrote “I Did Something Bad” after watching the episode where Arya and Sansa conspired to kill Littlefinger.

She also mentioned that Reputation purposely had two sides to it: vengeance and love, themes central to the plot of the show.
