Taylor Swift Just Joined Tiktok and Posted Her First Video

Taylor Swift is the latest celebrity to join Tiktok and delighted fans all around the globe with her first-ever video on the platform.

The video, which was done to the tune of “Screwface Capital” by British rapper Dave, sees Taylor lipsyncing to the specific verse that mentioned her while recreating her iconic looks from her albums: “Folklore,” “Evermore,” “Fearless,” and “Red.” Each look also included the dates that each album premiered (or will premiere, in the case of “Red (Taylor’s Version)” which is set to drop on November 19, 2021).

“Lots going on at the moment,” she wrote in the caption of the post.  “I’m on TikTok now. Let the games begin.”

As of writing, Taylor now has 1.2 million followers and her first video has racked up 6.8 million views and 1.3 million likes.

Taylor has been keeping herself busy these past months re-recording her old albums amid the ongoing controversy regarding the ownership of her masters.

She released “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” last April and has already put up “Red (Taylor’s Version)” for pre-sale.

“I’ve always said that the world is a different place for the heartbroken,” Taylor wrote as she announced the upcoming album. “It moves on a different axis, at a different speed. Time skips backwards and forwards fleetingly. The heartbroken might go through thousands of micro-emotions a day trying to figure out how to get through it without picking up the phone to hear that old familiar voice. In the land of heartbreak, moments of strength, independence, and devil-may-care rebellion are intricately woven together with grief, paralyzing vulnerability and hopelessness. Imagining your future might always take you on a detour back to the past.

And this is all to say, that the next album I’ll be releasing is my version of Red.”

“Red (Taylor’s Version)” will feature 30 songs including a 10-minute extended version of her hit song “All Too Well” as well as collaborations with Phoebe Bridges, Ed Sheeran, and a whole lot more.
