Good news for Filipino travelers! Visa-free entry for Taiwan has been extended for another year, according to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office.

In a statement released on Tuesday, July 2, Filipinos can keep visiting Taiwan visa-free from August 1, 2019, to July 31, 2020.
Filipinos may enter the country and stay for a maximum of 14 days, provided that they possess a valid passport and a confirmed return ticket.
This program was first implemented in 2017 and has since then led to a drastic rise in visitors. In 2018, Taiwan saw a 44% increase of Filipino tourists compared to the number in 2017.
Reportedly, this visa-free privilege granted to Filipinos has helped boost Taiwan’s tourism by 12.46%.
