It was a pleasant discovery to learn that somewhere in Laguna, there’s a very nice and elegant spa situated along the highway. Laguna is actually the resort capital of the Philippines (based on an article I’ve read somewhere),  so it shouldn’t be a surprise that a nice relaxing  place like this exists in this province.
I was really ecstatic about getting pampered here because I can finally spoil myself every payday and treat myself to a whole body massage without breaking the bank. The good thing about this particular spa is that it’s just a 30-minute drive away from our home.Â
Experience a very laid-back luxury with a “home away from home” ambiance. Rovia Nail Lounge and Body Spa is not like the other typical commercial spas you see almost everywhere else. Â
I love the modern Victorian inspired architectural design of the place. Upon entering, you’ll be surprised to see a cafe-bar serving authentic Italian coffee Illy – a very unlikely concept if you ask me.Â
The owners (Earl and Raquel) Â have put in a great effort to make the place as homey as possible. They were such a nice couple that all they did was make us feel welcome. Their staff is also nice and very friendly. To be honest, you’ll seldom experience this kind of treatment from other establishments. They simply have this charming way that makes each guest feel very special.Â
During my interview, I learned that Earl is a great cook while Raquel is a makeup artist and has always been a spa addict. These two great minds came up with this whole spa and cafe-bar business.Â
