Are you up for chill drinks with friends or just yearning for a good meal after a day of work?
Well, no worries because BGC’s Relik Restaurant and Bar got you and it’s living up to the hype of the city. Relik is a new hip and trendy place with a homey feel and cozy interiors that aims to provide a break from the ultra modern clubbing scene.
It’s basically a nook in the city where you can just lounge and chill with your friends while enjoying a few bottles of beer and awesome food. The restaurant’s name, RELIK, is a play on the word “relic” which means “an object surviving from an earlier time, especially one of historical or sentimental interest.” The owners wanted the establishment to be a mainstay in the BGC night life scene – a relic in that area; hence the name.
And so last Friday, we visited the restaurant for a quick fix.
Chorizig
Who will say no to chopped pork and chorizo fused on a hot sizzling place, topped with egg, drizzed with Relik’s signature chorizig mayo and finished with slices of calamansi? Well, definitely not us. Chorizig is a sure way to fire up your appetite!
Relik’s Nachos
This best-selling dish features homemade crunchy tortilla chips smothered in savory meat sauce, topped with shredded lettuce, tomato salsa, and cheddar cheese with sour cream. We must say, these are nacho ordinary nachos!
Sticky Wings
Are you G for some buffalo wings with a twist? Their Sticky Wings are twice-cooked and tossed in finger-licking sticky sauce making the meat really tender, bursting in flavors and definitely irresistible!
Carbonara
Relik’s spin on the usual carbonara is a must-try. Tossed in their special mixture of deliciously creamy carbonara sauce and served with focaccia bread on the side, this pasta is a crowd favorite.
Chicken BBQ and Bleu Cheese Pizza
Pizza lovers, listen up! If you think you’ve already tasted the best pizza out there, wait until you try Relik’s. The smokey barbecue-flavored chicken and red onions paired and drizzled with bleu cheese dressing is the bomb.
Loaded Mashed Potato
Who wants generous layers of fluffy mashed potatoes, bolognese and cheese sauce all combined for a mouthful of flavored delight? This dish is our favorite out of all of them! Believe us, it was a tough competition.
On top of all these, there are also live bands playing top hits and classic favorites every Friday and Saturday. So, you know where to go tonight. *wink*
