Oh, I love this place. When my children were still toddlers, we would be here every weekend. Inside Quezon City Memorial Circle are memories and physical remnants of the city and how it survived through the years. It also features the honorable Manuel L. Quezon, the pioneering leader and second president of the Philippines. This place is enormous but filled with intricate art decorations and vast greenery.

2. Art in Island (Cubao)

Art in Island, located in Cubao, Quezon City, is a renowned interactive art exhibition often referred to as a “selfie museum.” Yun Jae Kyoung, a South Korean businessman, is the visionary behind this unique establishment. Within a remarkable time span of just four months, 18 Korean visual artists collaborated to bring the initial exhibits to life. Art in Island officially opened its doors to the public in November 2014, captivating visitors with its immersive artistic experiences.

Art In Island is housed within a two-storey building covering a space of 3,800 square meters (41,000 sq ft). Marketed as the “biggest 3D museum in Asia”, exhibits are primarily murals which relies on optical illusion which causes the two-dimensional works to be perceived as “3D”. Visitors are encouraged to photograph themselves to become “part” of the works’ composition. In 2015, Art In Island had around 100 unique paintings including works derived from the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci and The Scream by Edvard Munch.
