Various K-Pop Idols Have Been Cast in the Korean Remake of ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’

The Korean version of the musical “Jamie” will be a star-studded one as famous K-Pop idols will be joining the cast. These include 2AM’s Jo Kwon, NU’EST’s Ren, and ASTRO’s MJ.

Originally called “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie”, this English musical is based on a true story about a 17-year old high school student named Jamie, who dreams of becoming a drag queen. A Korean version of this musical will premiere for the first time in Asia.

Jo Kwon will play the role of Jamie alongside NU’EST’s Ren, ASTRO’s MJ, and Shin Joo-Hyup. Since different people will play the titular character, each one will bring something different to the table. Jo Kwon, for instance, has established himself as an all-around entertainer and will show this as Jamie. On the other hand, Shin Joo Hyup is a rising star backed with prior experience in musicals.

Ren plans on building anticipation among fans as he shows different sides of himself in his first-ever musical. Meanwhile, MJ— a diverse artist and the main vocalist of ASTRO— will use this opportunity to add musical theater actor in his roster of talents.
