See, some other tailors would have their apprentices or their staff do the little things like taking measurements and talking to the customer. But a real high end, quality bespoke suit requires that the master tailor have a hand in ALL aspects of the suit creation. This is because even in taking measurements, it takes a master’s eye to see what may or may not be appropriate for each fitting. Now, if an untrained eye were the one taking measurements, and that said untrained eye were to make their own judgments that could be wrong, then the tailoring of your “bespoke” suit would already start off on the wrong foot, or wrong measurements. This is why it is important to really know who is behind the needle for a suit that should speak praises for the bearer.
