Time flies so fast that 3 days from now, we will be celebrating the most anticipated event of the year- the New Year’s Eve countdown!

Filipinos usually welcome the year with a bang! And by bang, I mean EVERYTHING is special! Dishes served are more special than the usual ones, loud noises, and of course, the fireworks display!

Call me corny but honestly, I hated fireworks. I’m one of those people who prefer to celebrate the New Year quietly. Yeah, what’s the sense of the countdown, right? But that was back in the day. Now that I’m married to a Photographer, everything has changed. It’s now an annual tradition in our family to collect pictures of fireworks.

Okay, going back. We’ve compiled a list of hotels and places you can go to, so you can have the best spot to capture this year’s fireworks display!

Let’s start discovering these places, shall we?

Hotels in the South and Metro Manila

Taal Vista Hotel

Taal Vista is one of the hotels you can try when in Tagaytay. The Lake view rooms will give you a spot-on place to capture the fireworks display on New Year’s Eve. Alternatively, if they are fully booked, you can always dine-in at their restaurants. You may want to try their newest and freshest fusion restaurant, Taza Fresh.

View Park Hotel

Although, this hotel has a limited angle of Taal Lake, the fireworks display is absolutely present! If you choose to stay here, ask for rooms on the 4th floor, specifically, Business Suite, Junior or Presidential Suite. You can view the fireworks from the Skyranch and Laguna areas.

View Park Hotel Tagaytay

This is their Roof Deck- where it’s overlooking the Picnic Grove. This area is open on New Year’s Eve to witness the fireworks display from Laguna and nearby places.

They also have dinner tables set-up in their garden, too.

The hotel just built another section where they will be opening more function rooms, an entertainment room, and more. I’m wondering if they will have their fireworks display in this area? If yes, I’m sure that will be fantastic!
