Taal Vista Hotel: 73 Years And Still Remains To Be The Best Staycation in Tagaytay
WHEN IN MANILA, sometimes you just feel like you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Why not have an amazing weekend stay at one of the country’s most cherished heritage hotels, Taal Vista Hotel?! In line with celebrating Taal Vista‘s 73rd anniversary, the hotel have recently unveiled a newly restored Lobby, Lobby Lounge and Bar alongside refurbished rooms and suites in its Mountain Wing last November 17, 2012.
Taal Vista Hotel’s Lobby
“Design firm MP Interior Design selected a palette of warm earthy natural hues in rich shades of chartreuse, chocolate brown and gold to give the feel of an elegant country home that is comforting and familiar. A floor to ceiling wooden panel that features kiwi green and hay yellow fabric serves as the backdrop for the hotel’s front desk and a relaxed start to a country getaway.”
A big Christmas Tree welcomes guests as they enter the Lobby Lounge
Can you feel the warmth and coziness that was brought by the interiors of the high ceiling Lobby Lounge? “Taal Vista Hotel guests will feel at home in the warm open space that exudes an air of casual elegance. During the day, the lounge is illuminated with light streaming in from the floor to ceiling glass picture windows that look out onto the sprawling hotel gardens and the Taal Lake in the distance.”
It’s certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Taal Vista’s Lobby Lounge
My eyes wandered to Taal Vista hotel’s iconic stone fireplace – thoughtfully positioned at one side of the room with floral seating arrangements that create a unique feeling of joy and nostalgia throughout the lounge.

At the other end of the room is The Lobby Bar where guests can just chill, relax and unwind while listening to the nightly entertainment ensembles.

We stayed overnight at the hotel’s Mountain Wing, with refurbished rooms in palettes of soothing satin creams, dusky golds and plush blues with dark wood accents that blend seamlessly with the historic hotel’s existing structure.

Taal Vista Hotel has a pool area but the kids had fun “swimming” in the bath tub already so they decided to continue playing at the ridge instead 🙂 This is where they had fun the most. Adults and kids were seen rolling on the grass, running, laughing, relaxing and just having tons and tons of pure FUN!

There are more ways to enjoy an afternoon fun with the kids. It’s time to keep those gadgets away and just SPEND MORE QUALITY TIME with them 🙂

Taal Vista Hotel is definitely the ideal choice for families. You can actually spend the whole day in the hotel and not get bored at all. Dining won’t be a problem, too. The restaurant, Cafe on the Ridge, boasts of a wide variety of Taal Vista heritage cuisine from breakfast to dinner that you may enjoy buffet style.
