Great news for students—you can now enjoy a 50% discount on MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 fares!

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on June 20 an increase in the student fare discount from 20% to 50%. This applies to all students, including those in postgraduate programs and law school.
To avail of the discount, simply present a valid student ID or proof of enrollment at the ticket counter. The 50% discount is available daily, including weekends and holidays, and currently applies to single-journey tickets only.
Coinciding with the resumption of classes, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon stated that this move aims to ease the financial burden on students.
