Sashy Brew has been around since 2015 before the cold brew hype even started. This was during a time when people didn’t know what cold brew was or how to drink it. Since then, they have expanded to different markets, including the fitness and health industry. The team of Sashy Brew invests heavily on its development, continuously studying their market’s needs in order to craft coffee that best suits people’s taste. They brew their coffee daily and deliver it the same day to ensure optimum freshness. Also, they only use 100% Grade 1 Arabica beans sourced from Benguet and Mountain Province.

As of the moment, Sashy Brew only has one flavor, Hazelnut, which they decided on after a research on Filipino coffee consumption found that people like hazelnut with their coffee. However, they do have plans of launching a new flavor soon! Their cold brew is concentrated, by the way; so if you don’t like your coffee really strong or black, you can dilute it with water or mix it with milk.

12hrcoldbrew is a Manila-based online coffee shop that features cold brew with less acidity than espresso.

They have four different flavors at the moment – Black (for those who love the taste of coffee), Honey (for keto diet coffee lovers – available with or without cinnamon), Caramel, and Mocha – all of which use 100% arabica local beans from Benguet to help our local farmers and support our local beans. Their coffee is steeped for 12 hours (thus the brand name) to really release the taste and sweetness of the coffee. All of their packaging is made out of clear PET containers, so you can see exactly what you’re getting every single time.

Brew Fix Bottled Coffee

Having grown up in Batangas, the owner of Brew Fix always had freshly baked kapeng barako on the table. During the Enhanced Community Quarantine, however, she had difficulties getting freshly brewed coffee and didn’t seem to like the drinks she found online (she likes hers strong, creamy, and sweet!). So, after receiving some kapeng barako from her parents and after a few experimentations, a bit of luck, and her friends who served as taste testers; Brew Fix was born.

Brew Fix currently has three flavors – French Vanilla (because it is the owner’s favorite), Barako Black Fix (for those who like their coffee black), and Masala Spiced Fix (a staple in every Indian household – her boyfriend is Indian). Brew Fix’s drinks are more concentrated for a reason: the owner doesn’t want them to lose their flavors once poured over a glass of ice. If you can relate, these are the perfect bottled coffee drinks for you!

During college, coffee was always the companion of Coffee Rush’s owner. This love for coffee turned into a passion and then into a business. As a brand, Coffee Rush hopes to provide customers with not just energy, but also happiness. That’s why they offer cookies along with their coffee to give off that perfect sweet-to-bitter ratio. All of Coffee Rush’s products are made fresh to achieve high quality, so they strongly recommend consuming them as soon as possible. Their beverages should also be refrigerated immediately, shaken before opening, and (ideally) poured over ice.

Their regular cold brew can last up to two weeks, while their flavored cold brew can last up to one week. The cookies, on the other hand, are best consumed within three days… if they last that long not being eaten, that is. :p

4. Fika (@fikaa.ph)

Fika Bottled Coffee

A state of mind coming from a Swedish origin that means “taking a break and appreciating life with good coffee and friends” is what motivated the owners of Fika to build their new coffee venture. “Sharing positivity with a cup of coffee is a practice we want to practice during these trying times,” they add. Each Fika bottle is carefully crafted with the finest beans from our local farmers as it is part of their mission to #SupportAndBuyLocal. Fika bottles also have wide openings that help them wash, disinfect, and sanitize each bottle easier. They are also reusable.

As of the moment, they have two specialties – Cold Brew and Vanilla Sweet Cream – but they hope to add more varieties in the future. Along the way, repeated orders from Fika’s customers gave them the idea to support another advocacy: to #GoEco. So, for every 10 bottles that they return, they offer a complimentary drink as a thank you. How awesome is that?

3. Cold Bruh Mnl (@coldbruhmnl)

Cold Bruh Mnl Bottled Coffee

Cold Bruh Mnl is a result of the owners being stuck at home for weeks. It took a toll on them, plus the fact that they all saw how online selling became such a trend over the course of the quarantine. “We just wanted to ride the wave of small businesses that hustled when everything else stopped,” they share. In fact, they actually couldn’t decide on what to sell at first. People were selling all sorts of good stuff: sushi bakes, ube cheese pandesal, and all sorts of pastries. “However, we really love coffee and cookies, so we ended up wanting to share those,” they explain.

Cold Bruh Mnl keeps things simple. As a small startup, they only had limited equipment and could only supply seven bottles a day at first. Since they brew their coffee made to order, a simpler menu would make it easier for them to meet demands. They started with their “cold, sturdy and black” flavor after several attempts on perfecting the water-to-coffee ground ratio, and an assortment of coffee grounds from all regions. This is perfect for the purists. For the liberals, they have now added a sweeter one: their “cold, smooth and milky”, which is basically their signature cold brew with their very own vanilla sweet cream added to it.

Cold Bruh Mnl’s coffee is brewed cold for 14 hours and made from single origin coffee and homemade vanilla sweet cream, while their cookies are made of nothing but premium ingredients. They also have curated boxes, which make for great gifts this quarantine and are sure to put a smile on your loved ones’ faces. These include four pieces of palm-sized 4-inch ooey goeey chocolate chip cookies and your choice of cold brew.

Cool Story Brew Bottled Coffee

From what started as a cool story between coffee enthusiasts, Cool Story Brew was born to amplify the potential of everyone’s daily coffee ritual. Their goal was to handcraft high quality coffee that can be easily purchased, and sereve ready-to-drink bottled cold brew coffee that is sent directly to the comfort of your homes – and that is exactly what they are doing now. They also aim to stimulate responsible production and environmentally conscious consumption by 1) maintaining a trade relationship with their partner farm to the benefit of their community, 2) using recyclable glass bottles and repurposing materials to reduce our carbon footprint, and 3) creating a Bottle Return program to encourage consumers to join their Zero Waste advocacy.

With the increasing amount of people trying out cold brew nowadays, they currently offer three variants – Coffee Fiend (their black coffee concentrate for caffeine junkies who can take their coffee stronger than black)), Snob (their ready-to-drink black coffee for caffeine zombies on the go), and Fancy (their ready-to-drink white coffee for coffee lovers who like a balanced flavor of sweet and milky without losing the strong punch of coffee). Visit their social media accounts to see their ongoing promos!

1. The Good Coffee (@thegoodcoffeemnl)

The Good Coffee Bottled Coffee

Kyle Astrande has always had the heart to help, and the whole brand started because he wanted to do something for our kababayans that have been struggling because of the current pandemic. The Good Coffee has different meanings. 1) It aims to support good causes. 2) It uses organically grown arabica beans infused with barley powder for a more conscious lifestyle. And 3) It strives for a more sustainable lifestyle, as well, by using glass instead of plastic.

Aside from using quality raw materials that are good for the health, The Good Coffee’s flavors cater to various age groups and coffee enthusiasts. They even cater to non-coffee drinkers with their chocolate variant, which my daughter is absolutely in love with! The Good Coffee hopes to keep supporting different causes as time goes by and bring them to light. “The littlest things we do for other people can mean the world to them,” Kyle adds.
