This season, Japanese make-up brand Shu Uemura launches a luxuriously whimsical collaboration with creative genius Karl Lagerfeld perfect for the merry and glitzy holidays. The inspiration behind Shu Uemura’s holiday line? None other than Kaiser Lagerfeld’s ultra-spoiled feline pet!

Shupette, or Mademoiselle Choupette is Karl’s snow-white, long-haired pussycat, whose furry tendencies has spawned a delightfully darling assortment of lip, eyeshadow, and cheek blush shades, and make up accessories, collectively dubbed as La Maison de Shupette. For the launch of this limited-edition line, Shu Uemura flew in International Artistic Director Kakuyasu Uchiide to give us a run-through of how to achieve the perfect Parisienne chic/Kawaii look with the Shupette line.

Shu Uemura’s “La Maison de Shupette” collection features an array of festive and bright hues, playfully presented with a sketch of the furry feline herself. The Shupette Has-It-All Eye & Lip Palette with eight eye shadow and lipstick shades to recreate that fabulous chic feline look, while the Eye-Need-Shu Eyeshadow Trio offers two sets of eye shadow with three shades, to perfect that Parisienne Chic or Japanese Kawaii cat eye along with the Furry Fantasy and Eye-Need-Shu False Eyelashes and eyeliner. Polish off the look with the Silk Cushion Cheek blush, made with a marshmallow-like formulation for a smooth and creamy finish, and the Rouge Bonbon Fantasy Lip Color Trio for that vivid, candy pout.
For a bit of sparkle, the collection also includes My Precious Glitter Set, which has three glitter eye make up pots to perk up those peepers, Fabulous Cat Enamel to amp up your holiday manicure, and the Pampearl-Me Face Powder to achieve that subtle, translucent glow. Iconic favorites such as Shu Uemura’s eyelash curler, UVUB Tsuya Mousse Primer and Ultim8 Cleansing Oil have also been repackaged especially for the limited edition collection.
