Sharon Cuneta was forced to defend herself against a netizen accusing her of pocketing the cash donations she raised for COVID-19 relief efforts.
The megastar held “Love and Music: Sharon”, a virtual concert for Mother’s Day, last May 10 to benefit COVID-19 frontliners and vulnerable communities.

Sharon was able to raise a little over Php 2 million. She shared the breakdown of the donations on her Instagram last Tuesday, but it seems that it wasn’t enough for some people.

One netizen commented: “Where [are] you going to put the donation[?] In your bank account [?]”
Sharon quickly dealt with the comment by saying: “No, thank you. I’m a billionaire I don’t need to take money from anyone. But I do help. DO YOU?”
She even clarified in another comment that she has been a billionaire since her thirties.
