Senator Sonny Angara is pushing for “‘Expanded Student Fare Discount Bill”.
This bill will extend student discounts from the existing coverage of land and sea modes of transportation to air and rail modes of transportation.
Furthermore, the bill aims to extend student discounts from weekdays only to include weekends, holidays, and school breaks.

Sa ilalim ng ating panukalang Expanded Student Fare Discount Bill, papagaanin natin ang pasanin ng mga magulang sa kabila ng pagtaas ng tuition at mga bilihin. Layon nitong ayusin ang sistema ng pagbibigay diskwento sa ating mga kabataan na kahit weekend pumapasok sa school o kahit holidays gumagawa ng homework, at pagaanin din ang gastos upang makauwi rin sa mahal sa buhay tuwing school break.
