Filipino boy band SB19 brought home the trophy for Favorite Asian Act at the 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards! The “P-Pop Kings” (composed of Pablo, Stell, Josh, Justin, and Felip) triumphed over some impressive competition, including K-Pop group ENHYPEN, Malaysian singer Iman Troye, Japanese girl group NiziU, and Indonesian vocalist Tiara Andini.

Upon the announcement, SB19 thanked everyone who voted for them in Filipino: “Maraming, maraming salamat po!”
“It’s such an honor to represent the Philippines,” Justin added. “We appreciate your love and support,” Felip emphasized.
On social media, the “Gento” singers also expressed their gratitude as a group. “Thank you, A’TIN and @Nickelodeon! Winning Favorite Asian Act at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is a dream come true for us and our country, the Philippines,” SB19 wrote. “Your support and recognition mean everything. We are honored and excited for what’s next!”

SB19 was the sole Filipino act nominated at this year’s KCA, but isn’t the only Filipino artist to win Favorite Asian Act at the Kids’ Choice Awards. In 2012, Jake Zyrus (formerly Charice Pempengco) brought home the same trophy.
