Now on its 4th year, bigger, more exciting and definitely more challenging! On April 27-April 30, The Red Whistle team, along with its partners are hosting the annual #SaveSexy Laboracacy – its summer campaign for HIV and AIDS Awareness made unique and appealing for the youth! One of the happenings to watch out for #SaveSexy Laboracay is the gamified race with The Red Whistle ambassadors, lifeguards, and celebrity advocates, aiming to educate and engage tourists, locals, millennials to generation x, and fun-loving individuals to know more about HIV and AIDS and encourage them to know their status.
HIV awareness campaigns need to be scaled up, as the Philippines has an expanding HIV epidemic.
Young people are among the most affected, and the fun and competitive #SaveSexy campaign was designed to be particularly interesting for the youth.
Thirty lifeguards, out of the hundreds of applicants, were chosen and formed into three teams who will compete against each other for three days. They will be given physical and mental challenges to be solved, race to educate as many people as possible and encourage them to get tested on-site — Yes! HIV testing on-site. The program will culminate with the launch of “Together” – the TRW 2017 Campaign supported by The Global Fund Program, and the #SaveSexy walk, promoting messages on HIV prevention and why it’s important (and sexy!) to know your own status. Exciting prizes await the winning team! Prizes from ASUS Philippines, Zalora, Anytime Fitness and Beyond Yoga awaits our winning team.
