A viral video of a Filipino student singing an amazing cover of Sam Smith’s hit song “Too Good at Goodbyes” at a grocery store has grabbed the attention of the singer himself.
On Twitter, Smith shared the video and said: “WHO IS THIS KID!!!!!? YOU ARE OUT OF THIS UNIVERSE WHOEVER YOU ARE.”

The young singer has been identified by TV Patrol Negros to be Carl Malone Montecido. He is best known for being part of the first season of Tawag Ng Tanghalan on ABS-CBN Network noontime show It’s Showtime back in 2016. He was able to make it to the finals and finished in 5th place.
He was formerly referred to as the “Blind Balladeer” due to his condition.
