Ruffa Gutierrez candidly shared her green flags and red flags when dating.

In a podcast episode of “Glow Up With Anna” by businesswoman Anna Magkawas, Ruffa revealed what she considers a “green flag” or a “red flag” when she’s getting to know someone. For the red flag, the actress has been straightforward.
“Siguro sa mga manliligaw, ‘yung red flag is ‘yung wala silang alam, wala silang (Maybe for suitors, the red flag is when they don’t know anything, when they don’t have) conversation skills,” she said.
The beauty queen also said that love is not enough for a relationship to work, but being committed and working towards a “smooth and loving” relationship.
“Kung wala kayong pag-uusapan, imagine if super matanda na kayo… tapos nagpapakiramdaman na lang, tahimik na lang kayo kasi wala kayong mapag-usapan (If you have nothing to talk about, imagine when you’re much older… and you’re just feeling each other out, staying silent because there’s nothing to talk about),” she quipped.
“Sa mga naghahanap ng seryosong pag-ibig, tumingin ka ng long-term. Kung sa umpisa pa lang, hindi na kayo magkasundo, nag-aaway na kayo (For those looking for serious love, think long-term. If from the very beginning you already don’t get along and are constantly fighting), it’s going to get worse later on,” she added.
Meanwhile, for the green flags, the 51-year-old actress revealed that she has been more picky as she turned older.
“Ang green flag siguro ‘yung may connection. Importante ‘yung may connection ka sa tao (It’s important that you have a connection with someone), someone you really enjoy being with… Kasi once you have a connection, it just flows naturally,” she shared.
“Physical is not as important as really loving someone for his heart, the goodness of a person’s heart,” she added. “Kaysa naman sa cute ka lang, pero wala kang sense kausap (Instead of just being cute but having nothing sensible to talk about).”
In June 2024, Ruffa Gutierrez confirmed that she is in a relationship with actor-politician Herbert Bautista.
