Remix Mini: Small But Powerful And Affordable PC Hardware

They say: “great things come in small packages.” This small, but powerful and affordable PC hardware is about to do great things in the Philippines soon.

Remix Mini SMX

Remix Mini, the first true Android personal computer (PC), allows users to enjoy PC productivity on the Android App ecosystem.

Touted as the “world’s first true Android PC,” Remix Mini was developed by Jide Technology. It’s sleek, compact, and affordable. Don’t be fooled by its size as Remix Mini allows consumers to “work and play with the entire Android app ecosystem” while still enjoying the basic personal computer (PC) elements like the taskbar and mouse and keyboard command, among others.

The hardware, which carries the usability and efficiency of Android, delivers a bevy of benefits for its consumers.

Moreover, users have the option not to purchase the standard central set since Remix Mini will act as the computer processing unit (CPU).

“You don’t need to buy the CPU anymore. You only need the Remix Mini. It’s small and compact but very powerful,” Hardasani shares.

“Some people spend some 20,000 to 30,000 pesos for a basic computer set. But they do not get to maximize it. If you will use it for school work or admin related purposes, you do not need to spend a huge amount of money. A CPU worth 3,500 pesos is already okay. It covers the basics,” Rahul Hardasani, President of Citi Harbor Outfitters Inc. which distributes Remix Mini in the Philippines.

Remix Mini can also turn a television with a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) port into a smart television.

Remix Mini has multiple ports and connections for DC adapter, ethernet cable, USB 2.0, Micro-SD, HDMI cable, and headphones.

As explained by Hardasani, Remix Mini has remarkable features like built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Therefore, it lets download apps, stream movies online, and also have a computer at the same time.

Wait, there’s more!

Because Google is the developer of Android, Remix Mini users have the privilege to download almost 2 million free applications offered in the Google Playstore.

What are the benefits of Remix Mini?

Aside from its impeccable features, it can also help lower your electricity bill.  As Rahul mentioned, “Fluorescent light bulbs can take up maybe 20 watts minimum. A regular CPU can take up 500 to 600 watts. But Remix Mini only takes up 10 watts. You are not just saving on the hardware but also saving on the consumption of electricity,” Hardasani enthuses.

It can be easy to undermine the memory of Remix Mini given its size. But Hardasani says that on its own the device contains 16 gigabytes (GB) of built-in memory and 2GB of random access memory (RAM). And just like a regular CPU, its memory can be expanded with the use of hard drives.

Is it already available in the Philippines?

Hardasani shares that Remix Mini is not yet available in malls. However, to learn more about the product, interested buyers can visit its booth at the SmartKids Asia Philippines (SKAP) to be held from January 28-29, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center.

SKAP is a family-oriented edutainment that is in its second year in the country. It was first introduced in Malaysia but now has a growing market in Singapore, Indonesia, and India.

Innovative activities and other stage performances await the families that will attend the fun-filled event. Tickets can be bought at MetroDeal.

Undoubtedly, this device will be a hit, as soon as it lands in the Philippines. This device is an investment that can help users save money for the long-term.

So, parents, everyone actually, visit SmartKids Asia Philippines (SKAP) at the SMX Convention Center on January 28 -29, 2017.
