Singer-actress Kim Chiu is once again making headlines after she was allegedly caught dancing her hit single “Bawal Lumabas” in the middle of EDSA traffic—a completely false claim, according to Kim on her latest Instagram post.

“Sa nagpapakalat ng fake news na sa [EDSA] ako sumayaw, hello?!!! Okay ka lang??? Bakit ako [sasayaw] sa gitna ng [EDSA]. Takot ko lang. DYOS KO. Please stop spreading FAKE NEWS,” she said.
(“To whoever spread the fake news that I danced in the middle of EDSA, hello? Are you okay? Why would I dance in the middle of EDSA? I’m still terrified. My God. Please stop spreading fake news.”)
Tagging her friend and fellow actress Angelica Panganiban, Kim clarified that she danced at the parking lot of local restaurant Tipsy Pig where she delivered her “Bawal Lumabas” merchandise.
“Moms @iamangelicap sa [EDSA] daw yung PARKING LOT ng Tipsy Pig?… kaya pa ba? Ikaw na nagdeliver ng merchandise, ikaw pa pagbibintangan ng fake news,” she added. “Hindi po biro magbenta ng merch, first time kong ginawa to pero okay lang I know this is for a good cause. Let’s spread love not hate. COVID ANG KALABAN NATIN, HINDI ANG KAPWA TAO.
”
(“They say EDSA is the parking lot of Tipsy Pig? Seriously? Despite delivering merchandise, I was still accused of fake news. Selling merch is no joke, this is the first time I did this, but it’s okay, I know this is for a good cause. Let’s spread love not hate. Our enemy is COVID-19, not our fellow Filipinos.”)
Last week, Kim launched her “Bawal Lumabas” online store of which 100% of proceeds from sales will be donated to charity.
