Ernest Cline’s best-selling book, “Ready Player One,” is officially getting a sequel!
It was last 2017 when the author confirmed that he’s been hard at work with the new book and, today, it’s been revealed that our wait is almost over.
No other details were shared about “Ready Player Two” other than that it will be published in North America on November 24 and is already available for pre-order.
For those who’ve never read the book or watched the movie adaptation in 2018 by Steven Spielberg, “Ready Player One” is a dystopian story jam-packed with pop culture references where humans attempt to escape their bleak reality through the help of virtual reality technology called Oasis. It follows teenager Wade Watts who embarks on a quest to find an “easter egg” within the game in order to inherit the game creator’s fortune.
It went on to receive numerous literary awards.
