See how all seven Harry Potter books were compressed into seventy hilarious minutes, leaving you gasping for air from all the witty lines and hysterical antics.

Last night, August 28, was the first show starring Gary Trainor (as Harry) and Jesse Briton (as everyone else). My sister and I, both avid Harry Potter fans, were lucky enough to be part of the Tweetseaters who Tweeted non-stop about the show and laughed endlessly at the epic performance. My favorite part was how we actually got to play Quidditch inside the theater, with half of the audience (including myself) in Slytherin and half in Gryffindor. (Try to guess which team won? Clue: Green.)

Aside from Quidditch, I was so amused with the Filipino jokes that the two British actors were able to incorporate. Imagine how giddy I was the entire time, especially after being a Potterhead since grade school, even pairing up Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger after reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in the 7th grade where she slaps him like the fierce woman that she is—okay, don’t mind me. That’s already the fangirl talking.

After the parody, I was able to meet both Gary and Jesse who said that Manila has been one of their best shows so far, especially because of how the audience was reacting. It was really wonderful to hear, and I think it proves just how strong the Harry Potter fandom is in the country.
