Technology has come a long way since I was a kid, that’s for sure; but I’d be totally lying if I said I don’t miss the old school games that I grew up with. Final Fantasy VII, Crash Bandicoot, Tomb Raider, Tekken… Nothing beats the nostalgia that comes with those games – not-as-cool graphics and all.
Well, it looks like we’ll be able to relive our childhood all over again this December because Sony has plans of following in Nintendo’s footsteps by releasing a mini gaming device that looks exactly like the very first PlayStation console released 25 years ago (yes, people, it has been that long!
They’re calling it the ‘PlayStation Classic’, and not only will we be able to revel in the nostalgic looks of the device, it will also come with 20 pre-loaded games, including ‘Wild Arms’, ‘Tekken 3’, and ‘Final Fantasy VII’. Of course, it will also come with two classic PlayStation 1 controllers (do you still remember the first time they released the vibrating ones?)
MY HEART CANNOT TAKE THIS EXCITEMENT. The console will be launching globally on December 3. How timely. Now we all know what we want for Christmas, amirite?
