Pizza, Pasta, Fun, and More: A Taste of New York at Brooklyn’s

Pizza, Pasta, Fun, and More: A Taste of New York at Brooklyn’s

When craving for New York style pizza, pasta, fun, and more in the metro, head on over to the new and improved Brooklyn’s (formerly Brooklyn’s Pizza) located in the heart of Tomas Morato corner Sct. Fuentebella, Quezon City. They also have other branches in Ortigas, Makati, and BF Homes, to name a few.

Brooklyn’s Tomas Morato: New look, new facade

Brooklyn’s is a famous pizza name in the South (Alabang area), but now, they’ve been spreading their mouthwatering pizza along with brand new dishes all over the Metro. What’s more exciting about Brooklyn’s is that they have a different store theme and look in every branch. They are currently renovating most of their branches for a more fun and awesome dining experience, but what excites me the most is their plan of turning Brooklyn’s Tomas Morato into an ‘art gallery’ of sorts.

The management also has plans of expanding their menu to more than just pizza and pasta by serving brunch and rice meals. So, in a few weeks or months, expect Brooklyn’s to offer you a ton of great meals and desserts for very reasonable prices!

To start off with our New York taste experience the Brooklyn’s way, we had our first appetiser: the Poutine.

Poutine – P173.00

Brooklyn’s Poutine consists of chunky fries rich with cheese and delicious gravy. While waiting for your choice of pizza or pasta to be perfectly cooked, a plate of this would be good to share with the family or barkada!

Next up is their spicy Buffalo wings. Compared to other buffalo wings I’ve tasted, their wings are tender and tasty. The spicy marinade is just right and won’t hurt your tastebuds. While the Buffalo wings are already flavourful, you can also choose to dip them in their creamy ranch sauce to add more zest to your chicken!

We also tried one of their brunch(served all day) offerings, one of which kids will surely love: Brooklyn’s The American composed of  the super meaty bratwurst, bacon, egg, hash brown, and bread.

Brunch?  Here’s The American – P283.00

If you think The American stopped us from eating because we were already full, you’re wrong. After finishing this, there came the heavier (and the bestsellers) food for lunch: Spicy Shrimp Pasta and their oh-so-Creamy Pesto with Chicken Parmegiana!

For the pasta, there are two available sizes: solo and super. Since we were in a group, we had the super-sized Spicy Shrimp Pasta with really chunky shrimps on top. Their pasta is firm and appetizing served with garlic bread on the side – perfect for tomato-based pasta lovers.

If you’re really hungry and want to indulge in real pasta and meaty goodness, try the Creamy Pesto with Chicken Parmegiana. So far, this is one of the best pesto pasta recipes I’ve tasted because of the rich pesto flavour minus the excess oil usually found in pesto dishes.

So, where’s the pizza? Just as we were about to feel super full with the pasta we devoured (hehe), there came the most awaited thing to feast upon: Brooklyn’s pizza pies!!!
