The Philippines is now number one in the list of ASEAN countries with the most recorded novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, overtaking Malaysia.
On Monday, April 13, the Department of Health announced 284 new cases, bringing the national total to 4,932.
The Philippines also joins Indonesia as the countries with the highest death-to-recovery ratio compared to other Southeast Asian nations where the total number of reported recoveries are much higher than the death toll. As of writing, the Philippines has 242 recoveries and 315 mortalities.
