The Philippine team, represented by BAWZ, a dance movement comprising various choreographers in the Philippines, competed and bagged the title in a hip-hop dance festival entitled Summer Jam Showcase Competition held in Da Nang, Vietnam, last March 2024.
A total of eighteen groups from seven countries, namely Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam, vied for the title. BAWZ, an emerging dance company in Quezon City, strutted its way to the championship and hailed it as the Summer Jam Showcase Competition 2024 winner.
Summer Jam Showcase Competition is one of the biggest dance festivals in Asia Pacific with over 16 years in the industry and has grown to become one of the largest and most important hip-hop dance festivals in the world, with a reputation for attracting the world’s top dancers and their fans to Asia. It is also, by far, the biggest dance camp in the Asia Pacific region since 2015.
