With refreshing color combinations, new cuts, silhouettes and fun prints, Penshoppe Spring/Summer 2014ย takes cues from the global style scene and infuses the local fashion landscape that Penshoppe is known for. โWhat we do is bring to our market whatโs new and in vogue, but translated into relatable pieces for the Filipino; we want to offer the wearer something he can make his own.โ said Penshoppe brand director, Jeff Bascon.

In a fitting ode to the Spring/Summer season, the fresh-faced models of Penshoppe showed bare-midriffs, fitted pencil-cut skirts, flirty skater skirts, equatorial printed bottoms, boxy tops, lightweight tees and sweaters in soft pastels, all of which were mixed and matched to put together eye-catching outfits. The Penshoppe Spring/Summer 2014 collection basically focused on three major style statements: bright colors, bold prints and new silhouettes.
Penshoppe Spring/Summer 2014
Bare midriffs and skater skirts are some of the few key elements of this collection for women’s wear.
Shedding a new light on summery prints, designs reminiscent to blooming, tropical fields took center stage for Penshoppeโs casual wear line-up for both men and women. Floral and leafy patterns graciously softened the boxy structures of loose-fitting pieces. Add in a refreshing twist to color-blocking by putting together cool and delicate hues of pink, blue and green.
Clearly, Penshoppe’s Spring/Summer 2014 showed the label’s attempt to take on a bolderstyle stand point. “With this collection, Penshoppe really went all-out to bare its take on the sunny season,” Bascon pointed out. ย I observed that Penshoppe really elevated themselves and took their designs to a trendier and very ‘now’ kind of level. Still, the brand stays true to what they are known for: comfort – a key consideration in all their deisgns given the country’s tropical climate.
Mr. Bascon concluded, “Penshoppe’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection is definitely very relevant. By presenting the season’s latest prints, hues, and silhouttes in a new light, we offer refreshing ways for the wearer to amp up his or her wardrobe. Ultimately, through, the goal is for them to be able to ‘wear’ their unique style sense and let the clothes enhance or convey it in a season appropriate manner.”
Indeed, with its latest repertoire, Penshoppe has undoubtly taken Spring/Summer 2014 out for a bold and exciting pin – and every style-setter is invited to join the ride!
