Today I’m fortunate to be invited by Philippine Airlines (PAL) to join their inaugural flight from Manila to Brisbane, Australia with their first Airbus A321neo. This is the 1st of the 6 aircrafts which is expected to be used by PAL to service non-stop flights to destinations in Asia & Australia.

The cool thing about the Airbus A321neo (NEO stands for “New Engine Option”) is that:
1. It generates reduced noise inside and outside the cabin.
2. It contributes to the aircraft’s overall eco-friendliness and sustainability. Has less CO2 emissions.
3. It enables the aircraft to fly non-stop to destinations of up to 8 hours flight time with reduced fuel burn (long haul standard).

The Airbus Neo series is currently the most popular product in the single-aisle aircraft category according to Airbus Marketing representative Mr. Geert Lemaire during the formal press conference held today at the Brisbane Airport.

PAL’s Airbus A321neo has a total of 168 seats (12 business class & 156 economy)

The economy class seats of PAL’s Airbus A321neo looks and feels more comfortable compared to the usual economy seats. I noticed it also has a slightly bigger legroom and is also equipped with a USB port to charge your gadgets, individual 10.1-inch personal tv screen with in-flight entertainment plus a basic amenity kit that you can use to freshen up.
