This was the epic moment of the night when Ryan sat on his piano and Brent on his cello and started playing “Apologize”, what ensued next was pure brilliance. See the video to witness the OneRepublic-Filipino fans mash-up of Cry Me a River and We Found Love.
“Burning Bridges” followed which is a definite favorite of mine from their new album. Other hits on that night’s setlist includes: Preacher, Ryan Tedder’s cover of Gold Digger, Can’t Stop, Marching On, Something I Need, I Lived and Good Life.
When Ryan was in the middle of his talk, someone threw a Siberian Husky hat onstage and he gladly wore it while performing. He even sang a bit of “What Does the Fox Say?” to humor the crowd.
OneRepublic gave us an encore of “Feel Again” and “If I Lose Myself”. The pumped up end that released all that energy to the end was just breathtaking. I was jumping and singing my heart out to their gripping lyrics and catchy tunes.Â
When the confetti poured down to mark the night’s end, Ryan made a promise to their Filipino fans — to come back and make it two nights (if they can)! And I think that’s the best parting promise OneRepublic can make to anyone. 🙂
When In Manila, we will be waiting for your comeback, OneRepublic! Thank you for giving us a blast!
