She Was Pretty aired almost three years ago, but it doesn’t seem to have lost any of its charm.
I was looking for a series that will give me romance and comedy, and this K-Drama didn’t disappoint. Watching the series was like stepping into a warm and cozy room and never wanting to leave. It also felt like that rainy day when you just want to stay at home while sipping a hot cup of chocolate. The series was that familiar and inviting.
What’s it about?
The series tells the story of two childhood best friends, Kim Hye-jin (Hwang Jung-eum) who used to be rich and pretty and Ji Sung-joon (Park Seo-joon) who used to be an unattractive young boy. The two meet again as adults, but their appearances and fortunes have been reversed. Hye-jin has lost her beauty, while Sung-joon becomes attractive and successful.

It has a total of 16 episodes with each episode running for more or less than an hour.
What do I like about it?
I laughed a lot while watching this. This super kilig romantic comedy drama got me hooked. I finished the entire series in just a few days. I love the plot twists even though some were a bit obvious. Each character plays an important role in the development of the story, making even the minor scenes as equally important as the major ones. The build-up was great and I found the big reveal at the end quite unexpected. I have nothing bad to say against this series except that it should have more episodes, because it was that good.
