As we count down the days until the premiere of the newest series under the “Encantadia” franchise, the original Sang’gres gave fans a treat to commemorate the show’s 20th anniversary!
Diana Zubiri, who played Danaya (the keeper of the brilyante ng lupa or Earth gem), Karylle, who portrayed Alena (the keeper of the brilyante ng tubig or Water gem), and Iza Calzado, who played Amihan (the keeper of the brilyante ng hangin or Air gem) each made posts on Instagram to celebrate the special occasion.
“Unang Teleserye ko ang ‘Encantadia,’ wala pa ako masyado ka alam alam dito pero minahal niyo ang ako,” shared Diana as she posted a photo of herself in her costume. “Happy 20 years mga Ashti! Avisala Eshma.”

Meanwhile, Karylle published a reel showing off her gem and a customized figurine of her character. “Hasne Ivo Live, Encantadia! Happy 20 years to us, Enca fam and Enkantadiks,” she said in her caption. “Alena lives on in every single happy interaction I have with someone who spent their childhood with us. I thank every single one of you who ever took the time to tell me about your childhood. E correi diu.”

Iza left a comment on Karyll’s post, saying: “E corre diu, Alena! You probably have the most photos thanks to Papa M. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years! Hasne Ivo Live, Encantadia! ❤️💙💚🤎”
The keeper of the Air gem also shared a fan-made video commemorating her character.

“Encantadia” first aired in 2006 and has since been a well-loved fantasy franchise. A remake that starred Gabbi Garcia, Kylie Padilla, Sanya Lopez, and Glaiza de Castro aired in 2016.
The third installment, a direct sequel to the 2016 remake, will feature a new generation of Sang’gre portrayed by Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva, Kelvin Miranda, and Angel Guardian. Gabbi, Kylie, Sanya, and Glaiza will also make an appearance on the new show.
It is yet to be announced when “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” will premiere.
