Nikkei Robata is the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant’s newest branch located in The Uptown Ritz of Bonifacio Global City which specializes in Japanese-style grilled food. For those who are unfamiliar, robatayaki is a traditional cuisine with origins in the Miyagi Prefecture and the northernmost island of Hokkaido where meats, seafood, and vegetables are slow-grilled above a charcoal flame. The restaurant itself welcomes modern diners to a warm and relaxing environment. Similar to typical robatayaki restaurants, bar seats are arranged around an open kitchen where chefs grill would orders in front of customers. However, there are plenty of table seats inside and al fresco for larger groups which don’t take away from the dining experience.

Its diverse menu also offers everything you’d look for, whether it’s mouthwatering seafood, a delectable steak, or smokey skewers. We highly recommend you try some of the plates that are only offered in Nikkei Robata, such as the Scallops with Uni Sauce (PHP 350), the Yakitori Platter (PHP 550), and the Kushiyaki Platter (PHP 850). For mains, you will be spoiled for choice! Try the Grilled Salmon Belly with Mushroom Risotto (PHP 580), the incredibly tender Robata Steak with truffled mashed potato (PHP 995), and the meaty charred goodness that is the Hamachi Kama (PHP 795) or grilled yellowtail collar with cilantro salad—all of which are also exclusive to Nikkei Robata.
