Mark your calendars gamers: the new PlayStation 5 is going to be released in the Philippines this week!
The new PS5 comes in a smaller size with an optional attachable Ultra HD Blu-Ray drive and 1TB internal storage. It’s significantly lighter than earlier models and its design has been updated with four separate cover panels, where the top portions now have a glossy look while the bottom keeps its matte finish. Those who opt to get the new PS5 Digital Edition now have the choice to add the attachable Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive later on for an extra price!
The new PS5 (with the built-in disc drive) is launching locally on March 27, 2024, at PHP 30,790 SRP. A new Vertical Stand compatible with all PS5 models will be sold separately at PHP 1,690. Gamers will also get to enjoy a variety of PS5 Console Cover colors for the new model on the launch date including the Deep Earth Collection colors in Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver. Prices for the PS5 Console Covers will start at PHP 3,290.
It’s yet to be announced how much the PS5 Digital Edition and the attachable disc drive will cost and when they will be released.
