New Color Coding Scheme in Philippine Malls Starts Today

With restrictions easing up all over the country, authorities have been looking for ways to lessen the sudden surge in mall traffic. To ease foot traffic in Philippine malls and to ensure everybody truly stays safe, a color-coding system was proposed earlier this year – and it has been confirmed that the color-coding system will be implemented starting today (April 1, 2022).

Different Colored Shirts

Mall entry restrictions will depend on the color of your shirt:

  • Monday – Orange
  • Tuesday – Green
  • Wednesday – Blue
  • Thursday – White
  • Friday to Sunday – Very Peri, Pantone’s 2022 Color of the Year

Grey, black, and other colors not mentioned in the scheme above will be permanently banned from malls for the time being. Shirts with prints and mixed colors will also not be allowed.
