On Wednesday (Thursday in PH time), video-streaming service Netflix announced its global launch, adding more countries to its reach including the Philippines, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas.
With this announcement, Netflix is now available in 130 countries. According to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, Netflix is out in almost any country except China. This somewhat marks the birth of a global TV network.
In the Philippines, Netflix subscription starts for as low as PhP 370 per month (Basic Plan). Standard Plan is available at PhP 460 and Premium Plan at PhP 550, which an add additional screens for simultaneous viewing and include HD and Ultra HD capabilities.
