Netflix Philippines rang in the holiday season early with the premiere of its first-ever Christmas station ID featuring a special rendition of the classic song “Kumukutikutitap” and different Filipino celebrities from its upcoming slate of local Netflix originals.
The music video brought together the lead stars of its lineup of new and upcoming local titles to Barangay Netflix for a fun-filled Christmas caroling as it unveiled what audiences around the world can expect in the ‘Ber months: “Can’t Buy Me Love” (Belle Mariano, Donny Pangilinan), “Keys to the Heart” (Zanjoe Marudo, Elijah Canlas), “Replacing Chef Chico” (Piolo Pascual, Alessandra de Rossi, Sam Milby), and recent hits “Missed Connections” (Miles Ocampo, Kelvin Miranda, Chie Filomeno), and “What If” (Alessandra de Rossi, JM de Guzman).
The video also had a handful of Easter eggs, including a tarpaulin featuring the stars of “Seasons” Lovi Poe and Carlo Aquino sending their holiday greetings, “Keys to the Heart” lead actress Dolly de Leon on the cover of a vinyl record, and select Filipino dishes being carried by the stars of “Replacing Chef Chico” as a preview of the gastronomic experience the series will bring its audience when it premieres.
