NDRRMC Warns Public for Incoming Typhoon “TISOY”

Typhoon TISOY, internationally known as Typhoon Kammuri, is set to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) between Saturday (November 30) and Sunday (December 1). Earlier reports say that it is expected to be a super typhoon.

However, in a recent post on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council or NDRRMC’s official Twitter account (@NDRRMC_OpCen), the Department of Science and Technology or DOST stated that “Typhoon KAMMURI (local name: Typhoon TISOY) is less likely to reach Super Typhoon category at this time, but this scenario is not yet ruled out as the Typhoon is forecast to steadily intensify before making landfall in Southern Luzon.”
